Personal statement

Oli is a record engineer, producer, and dubbing mixer with over a decade of industry experience.

He has worked with artists such as PJ Harvey, Aldous Harding, Dry Cleaning, Black Country New Road, and Jesca Hoop. He recently mixed the album Train On The Island by Aldous Harding, released in 2026 to critical acclaim. He works closely with producer John Parish, with whom he has worked with since 2016.

His television work includes nature documentaries such as Planet Earth 3, Mammals, Earthsounds, and Our Planet 2. He was awarded an Emmy in 2026 for ‘Outstanding Sound Mixing (Factual)’ for the documentary series Underdogs. The television shows he’s worked on have been nominated for BAFTA, Emmy, Jackson Wild, Royal Television Society, and Association of Motion Picture Sound awards.

Across both aspects of his work, he focusses on achieving a strong narrative through sound. Musically he aims to retain human flaws and idiosyncrasies in his projects and has been recognised for his unvarnished mixes.

As a lecturer on the Commercial Music course, he works with all year groups on their music production modules.
