Bristol Beacon hosts artistic programmes featuring hundreds of live performances, alongside a programme of creative learning reaching over 30,000 young people every year.

is a music charity, renowned venue, and award-winning music education hub, running the largest concert hall in the South-West and hosting some of the world's greatest musicians, from The Beatles to the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, for over 150 years.

Bristol Beacon believes in the power of live music, bringing people together and creating moments of unity and joy. Their commitment to creativity, inclusion and connection helps ensure music remains accessible to all.

Bristol Beacon first opened its doors on 20 September 1867, and for over 150 years the walls have reverberated with the sights and sounds of orchestras, activists, acrobats, wrestlers, filmmakers and entertainers of every description.

In 2020, a new chapter started.  Bristol Music Trust was the first organisation in the city to announce it was changing its name from Colston Hall to Bristol Beacon. The new name shines a light on the unsung heroes and hidden stories of their past and provides an open and welcoming home for the voices of the future.

Partnership

ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ and Bristol Beacon share a commitment to creating meaningful pathways into the creative industries for underrepresented young people, supporting those from the global majority, care-experienced, disabled and low-income backgrounds.

Through the partnership, students will have the opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes insight into the organisation's technical and production processes. Bristol Beacon will host a range of talent development workshops, backstage tours, and event showcases, where students can gain real experience in event management, technical production and sound engineering roles. In addition, they will have the opportunity to meet and learn from professionals working across the organisation.

Alongside these opportunities, students will have the chance to gain practical experience through the hire of Bristol Beacon's Weston stage, a unique and highly atmospheric cellar which showcases emerging creatives alongside club nights, comedy clubs, and intimate jazz sessions.

“As part of Bristol Beacon's commitment to supporting the next generation of creative talent, we are proud to partner with ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ to create meaningful opportunities for students to develop their knowledge and professional networks. We aim to help bridge the gap between education and employment while empowering students to forge successful careers in the creative industries."
