Explore, experience and progress your career goals with events and workshops from our Careers team as well as industry experts.

Throughout the year we run a number of events to help connect you with employers, develop your skills, hear from industry experts and explore different career paths.

CV Check-Ins

At our Newton Park campus, our friendly Student Career Champions are available for CV checks Monday to Thursday between 10am and 2pm - feel free to drop in at the Careers space opposite the café in Commons (you don't need to book) to get the help you need.

Part-Time Jobs Fair

Every September in Welcome Week, we host a Part-Time Jobs Fair at our Newton Park campus. Details are available ahead of time.

At the fair, you'll meet employers from across BSU and the local area who are actively hiring. You can explore live vacancies, get top tips on securing a role, make valuable connections, and find a job that works around your studies. And, naturally, securing a part-time job is a great opportunity to build experience for your future career as well as for earning some cash.

Careers Fairs

Held at keystone moments throughout the year at all of our campuses, our Careers Fairs enable you to connect with employers recruiting for graduate roles, schemes, and Professional Placement Year opportunities. Attending will see you get the inside scoop on what makes a stand-out applicant, explore opportunities that you may not have considered, and start building connections.

Stay tuned to for the details of our next fair!

What's Next? Get Ready To Graduate!

Typically held in March at one of our Bath campuses, What's Next? is a conference-style event packed with inspiring keynote speakers, lively panel sessions, and insightful alumni talks. You'll discover practical guidance on freelancing, navigating your first graduate role, and making a smooth transition beyond university. You'll find a range of stands offering information about ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿'s support schemes and initiatives, including the Bath Spa Graduate Scheme. Enjoy free food and drinks as you explore - and don’t miss the chance to get a free, professionally-taken LinkedIn headshot.

Employer in the Foyer

Come and say hi to your possible future employer, either in the Commons Atrium at Newton Park or in The Street at Locksbrook.

These ad-hoc events give you the chance to chat to representatives from businesses from all over the country, gain insight into what working for their company would be like, explore different industries that you may be interested in, and even get tips for catering your application for the business' needs so that you'll be top of the pile when opportunity comes around.

Keep an eye on for information about when the next employers will be visiting.

In this lecture-style format, we'll speak about CVs and cover letters, interview tips, how to access the hidden jobs market, preparing for freelancing work, exploring postgraduate study options, and so much more.
