Newton Park welcomes RAK students for annual campus visit
Thursday, 2 July, 2026On Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 June 2026, colleagues and students from ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Ras Al Khaimah (BSU RAK) visited Newton Park campus as part of their annual Study Trip, strengthening connections between the University’s international campuses and giving students the opportunity to experience life at BSU’s UK home.
Forty-four students based at BSU RAK in the UAE, studying programmes including Business and Management, Psychology, Creative Computing and Cyber Security, took part in a range of academic and student experience activities across the two-day visit.
Students explored the Newton Park campus and participated in sessions led by Link Tutors and Programme Leads for their courses, providing an opportunity to engage with academic staff, gain insight into their subject areas, and experience teaching and learning in the University’s UK environment.
The visit also included sessions delivered by BSU’s Library, Student Experience, Students’ Union and Go Global teams. Through activities including games, discussions and interactive sessions, students were able to connect with staff and peers while sharing their experiences and perspectives on life at ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿.

During their visit, the group met Vice-Chancellor Professor Georgina Andrews and Professor Simon Haslett, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Partnership Strategy, alongside colleagues from across the University who joined students as they explored all that Newton Park has to offer.
Vice Chancellor and CEO of BSU, Georgina Andrews, said:
"It was a pleasure to welcome our BSU RAK students to Newton Park and to see them experience first hand the opportunities, community and learning environment that connect our campuses. International partnerships play an important role in our University community, and visits such as this help strengthen our relationships while creating memorable experiences for our students."
The annual Study Trip forms an important part of the relationship between BSU and its international partners, giving students the chance to build connections, broaden their experiences and feel part of the wider ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ community.
